The nude fabric is very flesh-like. The contours on the piece remind me of the female reproductive system. The thread color reminds me of blood and pain, but also of regality and strength. The hooks at the crotch speak to menstruation. Even though the garment is restrictive and even oppressive, Tupac’s lyrics are empowering and uplifting. I enjoy that complexity and duality.“
